This high-impact professional development experience empowers educators and community leaders with innovative tools to integrate Hip-Hop culture into STEM education and transform how students engage with learning.

Taking place on Thursday, April 23, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Community Folk Art Center at Syracuse University, this four-hour immersive Cypher brings together leading voices in Hip-Hop, education, and social impact to reimagine how science, technology, engineering, and mathematics are taught and experienced.

Rooted in a student-centered teaching approach and community empowerment, Power the Future positions Hip-Hop as a powerful educational framework, one that deepens student engagement, fosters creativity, and bridges opportunity gaps in STEM learning. The program blends scholarship, performance, curriculum design, and storytelling into an energizing and interactive format.
