— Alexei Prokhorov, CEO of Crucemundo

MADRID, SPAIN, September 7, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Crucemundo has announced a major expansion of its European river cruise programme for 2027, increasing operations to 115 departures across four ships on the Rhine, Danube and Douro rivers.

The expanded programme represents a significant milestone in the company’s growth strategy and reflects increasing demand from both travellers and trade partners for affordable, immersive river cruise experiences across Europe.

To support the expansion, Crucemundo will introduce the MS CruceNova to the Danube in 2027, while the company’s Rhine vessel, MS VistaRio, will be renamed MS CruceRio as part of the fleet’s continued development.

The 2027 fleet will comprise four vessels including MS CruceNova covering the Danube River, MS CruceRio sailing on the Rhine, MS Fidelio again on the Danube and MS Douro Cruiser on the Douro River.

Together, the four-ship fleet will operate an expanded programme of 115 departures across some of Europe’s most popular river cruise destinations, providing guests with a wider choice of itineraries and departure dates throughout the year.

The increased capacity also strengthens Crucemundo’s partnership-led growth strategy, enabling travel agents and tour operators to build stronger sales programmes around a consistent sequence of departures across the Rhine, Danube and Douro.

“Our expansion to four ships and 115 departures marks an important new chapter for Crucemundo,” said Alexei Prokhorov, CEO of Crucemundo.

“Our growing network of agency and tour operator partners continues to play a key role in our success. By focusing our operations across three of Europe’s most established river cruise regions, we can offer partners a stronger and more consistent departure programme, making it easier to build long-term sales and grow their river cruise business with us.”

The expanded deployment follows strong growth across Crucemundo’s European operations and supports the company’s wider plans to increase capacity, introduce new itineraries and enhance the onboard experience for guests.

Across the fleet, guests will continue to enjoy the combination of culturally immersive itineraries, inclusive cruise experiences and exceptional value that has become synonymous with the Crucemundo brand.

The 2027 programme includes sailings through the vineyard-lined landscapes of the Douro Valley, the historic cities and capitals of the Danube, and the iconic scenery of the Rhine, offering travellers a diverse range of experiences across Europe’s most celebrated waterways.

With 115 departures operating across four ships, Crucemundo is set to deliver its largest-ever river cruise programme in 2027, reinforcing its position as one of Europe’s fastest-growing river cruise operators.
